Duration : 1 Day
Expect a relaxed, welcoming and highly practical day spent outdoors in the stunning surroundings of Glenmore.
This is a hands-on course with plenty of opportunities to practise the skills you're learning. Rather than sitting in a classroom, you'll work through realistic scenarios, learn by doing, and gain confidence in managing emergencies in remote environments.
Throughout the day, you'll:
Learn practical mountain emergency skills from experienced instructors.
Take part in realistic casualty care scenarios.
Handle and use a range of first aid equipment.
Practise improvised techniques using everyday outdoor equipment.
Build confidence in making decisions under pressure.
Ask questions and benefit from real-life experiences shared by Mountain Rescue and frontline NHS professionals.
The focus is on developing practical, transferable skills in a supportive environment. Whether you're new to the outdoors or an experienced hillwalker, you'll leave with greater confidence in your ability to respond effectively should an emergency arise.
